How JT Bids collects, uses and protects the information you share with us.
Last updated: October 2026
Who we are
This website, jtbids.co.uk, is operated by JT Bids, a company registered in Scotland under company number SC889369, with a registered office at 4 Uddingston Road, Bothwell, Glasgow, Scotland, G71 8PG (“JT Bids”, “we”, “us”). For the purposes of UK data protection law, JT Bids is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
What information we collect
We only collect information that you choose to give us. If you use the contact form on this site, that includes whatever you enter into the form - typically your name, company, email address, phone number and the details of your enquiry.
Our contact form is provided by WordPress.com, the platform that hosts this website. When you send a message, it is stored securely in our WordPress.com account and emailed to john@jtbids.co.uk. WordPress.com is operated by Automattic Inc., which processes this information on our behalf under its own privacy policy.
How we use your information
We use the information you send us only to respond to your enquiry about bid writing or tender portal setup services, and to correspond with you if you go on to become a client. We do not use it for marketing without your separate consent, and we do not sell or rent your information to third parties.
Our legal basis for processing this information is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services, and - once we’re working together - the steps necessary to perform a contract with you.
Cookies and analytics
As this website is hosted on WordPress.com, some cookies may be set that are needed for the site to work properly and to keep it secure. WordPress.com also collects basic, aggregated visitor statistics (such as page views) to help us understand how the site is used. We do not run advertising or advertising tracking on this site.
Third-party services
This website is hosted by WordPress.com (Automattic Inc.). When you visit a page, your browser connects to their servers, which involves your device’s IP address and basic technical information being processed in line with Automattic’s privacy policy. We don’t control this data flow beyond choosing to use the platform.
If you pay for our tender portal setup service online, payment is taken by Stripe on a secure Stripe-hosted page. Stripe processes your card details and the name, email, address and phone number you provide, under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your full card details. We receive confirmation of the payment and your contact details so we can deliver the service.
How long we keep your information
We keep enquiry and client correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to handle your enquiry, deliver our services, and meet our own legal and accounting obligations - after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask us to delete or restrict it, and to object to how we use it. To exercise any of these rights, email john@jtbids.co.uk.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you also have the right to complain to the UK’s data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.
Children
This website and our services are aimed at businesses, not children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example as the website or our services change. We’ll update the “last updated” date above when we do, so please check back occasionally.
